Senior Partner
Nafisa Alibhai formed Nafisa Alibhai and Company in March 2007 after fifteen years’ service with a local audit firm with branches both in Nairobi and Mombasa. At the time of leaving employment Nafisa was the Audit Partner and Office Manager and was behind the formation of the Nairobi Branch of the firm in 2002. Prior to that she was with their Mombasa office where she rose to Assistant office Manager and Audit Manager after working with the Mombasa branch for ten years.
Her experience includes advising clients on taxation planning and attending to queries and tax cases with the Tax Authorities in Kenya. In her firm Nafisa is the Partner responsible for audit assignments and also attends to business advisory and structuring services.
She has now merged her firm with Mawji Sennik and Company Auditors to form NAMS and Company Auditors with a view to continue providing audit and taxation services for an expanded client base. She will remain the Senior Partner in NAMS and Company Auditors.
Patrick Kamau CPA(K)
Partner
Patrick is the Partner. He has gained vast experience conducting audit of companies in diverse sectors including chemicals, general manufacturing, large retail and wholesale business, pharmaceutical, insurance, agricultural and food production and the hospitality industry. Patrick is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kenya (ICPAK)
Caroline Annritah Owade
Partner
Caroline is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from University of Nairobi and a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance option) University of Nairobi.
Caroline has extensive training in accounting standards, audit, and assurance as well as Taxation, having worked in Nafisa Alibhai & Co. for over 10 years as a senior Manager. She is currently a partner in Nams & Company Auditors Limited Liability Partnership.
Caroline has had an opportunity to work for a diverse portfolio of clients in various industries.
Lawrence Mulinge, CPA(K)
Manager, Audit
Lawrence holds a bachelors’ degree in Finance from KCA University and is a member of the Institute of certified public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He has over 9 years of post-qualification experience in external audits and tax advisory services gained in his current and past employments. He recently Joined the firm from Parker Randall Eastern Africa.
He has supervised and executed External Audit and Tax advisory engagements for clients across various industries. He is well experienced in conducting statutory financial audits, accounting and taxation services. He has contributed in providing recommendations/solutions to management in areas of control weaknesses and improvement in risk management.
He has gained vast experience in the provision of audit, accounting and taxation and has been the team leader on various assignments in Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda.
Oscar Matheka
Manager, Tax
Oscar recently joined the firm from PKF International with over nine years of experience in the provision of general and specialized tax compliance and tax advisory services across the East African region. He started his career in 2010 after graduating from Moi University, Kenya with a Bachelor of Business (Finance and Banking) degree. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Kenya, having qualified in 2009.
